Privacy and information NomaReina may collect
Email list and free guide
If you request the free guide or join the newsletter, NomaReina may collect your email address and, when you provide it, your first name. Email delivery, subscription management, and unsubscribe requests are handled through Kit, formerly ConvertKit.
Share Your Story submissions
If you submit a story, NomaReina may receive the information you enter in the form, including your story, preferred credit, contact information, and any social or website link you choose to provide. The current submission form is hosted through Google Forms, so Google may process information needed to operate the form under Google's Privacy Policy.
Comments
If you leave a comment, WordPress may process your name, email address, comment text, IP address, browser or device information, and any optional comment cookie preference needed to operate and protect the comment system. Your email address is not displayed publicly by NomaReina.
Business inquiries and direct messages
If you email NomaReina or contact the brand about a project, collaboration, correction, licensing request, or other inquiry, the information you send may be retained as needed to respond, keep business records, and manage the relationship.
Technical data, analytics, and hosting
NomaReina is built on WordPress and hosted through Hostinger. Hosting, security, spam prevention, performance tools, and connected analytics services may process technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, page requests, referring pages, approximate location derived from IP address, and cookie or similar identifiers. If Google analytics tools are enabled through Site Kit, Google may also process usage information according to its own privacy practices.
How information may be used
NomaReina may use collected information to send a requested guide, newsletter, or other opted-in email; respond to questions, corrections, business inquiries, and collaboration requests; review reader stories for possible editorial use and follow-up; display and moderate reader comments; understand site performance and which content is useful to readers; protect the website from spam, abuse, fraud, or security problems; and maintain records reasonably needed for editorial and business operations.
NomaReina does not sell personal information.
Cookies and similar technologies
The site and its service providers may use cookies or similar technologies for essential website functions, security, comment preferences, performance measurement, and analytics. Some third-party embeds or services may also place or read cookies according to their own policies.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work.
Third-party services and external links
NomaReina relies on third-party services to operate parts of the site. These currently include WordPress, Hostinger, Kit, and Google services such as Google Forms and connected Site Kit tools. Those companies have their own privacy and data-handling practices.
NomaReina also links to government agencies, travel providers, other websites, social platforms, and outside resources. A link does not mean NomaReina controls or endorses another site's privacy, security, accuracy, availability, or business practices.
Data retention and your choices
NomaReina keeps information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, ongoing editorial or business records, security, dispute prevention, or legal obligations. Retention periods can vary depending on the type of information and the service provider involved.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in the email. If you want to ask about information you previously submitted directly to NomaReina, email hello@nomareina.com. Some information may remain in backups, security logs, or records that NomaReina is required or reasonably needs to retain.
Reader stories, age requirement, publication rights, and removal requests
NomaReina accepts story submissions from adults age 18 and older only. By submitting a story, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that the story is your own work or that you otherwise have the right and permission to submit it for publication and use by NomaReina.
Submitting a story is an editorial submission. It is not a confidential, legally privileged, medical, emergency, or private communication. Do not submit passport numbers, immigration case numbers, passwords, financial account information, medical records, or other sensitive identifiers.
If your story includes revealing, personal, or identifying details that you do not want connected to your name, select the Anonymous credit option in the submission form and remove any details you do not want published. Anonymous credit means NomaReina will not intentionally publish your name or social account as the author. It does not guarantee that someone could never identify you from details contained in the story itself.
Rights you grant when you submit a story
Unless NomaReina agrees to different terms with you in writing, submitting a story grants NomaReina a perpetual, irrevocable to the fullest extent permitted by law, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, transferable, and sublicensable license to use the submitted material.
This license includes the right to edit, adapt, excerpt, reproduce, publish, display, distribute, archive, promote, translate, reformat, republish, syndicate, license, and otherwise use the story, in whole or in part, in NomaReina articles, the NomaReina website, newsletters, social media, promotional materials, future editorial projects, and other media now known or later developed.
You keep any copyright you otherwise own in your original story. However, the publication and use rights you grant to NomaReina are intended to continue after submission and after publication. A published story will not be removed solely because the contributor later changes their mind about having submitted it.
NomaReina may remove, revise, archive, stop using, or decline a story at its own editorial discretion if the material is later considered unsuitable, unsafe, inaccurate, misleading, unlawful, inconsistent with NomaReina's editorial standards, or otherwise inappropriate for continued publication.
Editing and credit
NomaReina may edit submitted stories for clarity, grammar, length, structure, style, headlines, context, formatting, safety, legal concerns, and editorial consistency. NomaReina will make a reasonable effort to preserve the substance and meaning of the contributor's experience.
Credit will be given according to the option selected in the submission form, such as anonymous, first name, full name, or creator credit, unless NomaReina and the contributor agree to something different in writing.
Release relating to authorized publication
To the fullest extent permitted by law, by submitting a story you authorize NomaReina to exercise the publication and use rights described above and agree not to bring claims against NomaReina based solely on NomaReina's authorized publication, editing, promotion, archiving, republication, licensing, or continued availability of that submitted story.
This does not waive rights or claims that cannot legally be waived, and it does not give NomaReina permission to use a submission outside the rights described in these policies or any different written agreement made with the contributor.
Publication is not guaranteed
Submission does not guarantee publication, payment, or a future collaboration. NomaReina may contact a contributor for clarification, fact-checking, verification, or additional context. Stories involving serious allegations, safety concerns, or claims about identifiable people or organizations may require additional verification and may be declined.
For the plain-language submission overview, anonymity and credit options, and the current story form, visit Share Your Story. If NomaReina agrees to different rights, compensation, credit, or publication terms with you in writing, those written terms control for that submission.
Comments and community standards
Thoughtful disagreement and additional perspectives are welcome. NomaReina may remove or decline comments that contain spam, harassment, hate speech, threats, doxxing, sensitive personal information, impersonation, illegal content, or material that creates an unreasonable risk to another person.
Publication of a comment does not mean NomaReina endorses the commenter's claims, advice, or opinions.
Educational content
NomaReina shares personal experiences, interviews, general research, and educational information. It does not provide legal, immigration, employment, tax, financial, medical, mental-health, or individualized safety advice.
Articles may explain what happened to a particular traveler or describe rules that were current when an article was updated. That is not a substitute for checking the requirements that apply to your nationality, employer, destination, health, finances, or personal circumstances.
Travel information changes
Entry rules, advisories, visa policies, prices, transportation, operating hours, local laws, weather, political conditions, and safety information can change quickly. Verify important details with official authorities and qualified professionals before making travel, work, immigration, health, or financial decisions.
Work, remote employment, and location
Remote employment does not necessarily permit work from another state or country. Employer policies, client agreements, tax obligations, immigration status, work authorization, data-security requirements, insurance, and local law can all affect where work may legally and practically be performed.
NomaReina does not encourage concealing your location from an employer, client, government authority, insurer, or technology system.
Personal experiences, identity, and safety
One traveler's experience does not establish that a destination will be safe, welcoming, affordable, accessible, comfortable, or appropriate for everyone. Experiences can vary by race, ethnicity, gender, disability, nationality, religion, sexuality, age, class, language ability, passport, location, timing, and many other factors.
NomaReina aims to distinguish between what a writer personally observed, what others reported, and what current sources support rather than turning one person's experience into a universal claim.
Sponsored work, gifted experiences, and affiliate links
NomaReina may work with brands, destinations, publications, tourism organizations, or other partners. If an article, trip, product, service, stay, or link is sponsored, gifted, commissioned, or affiliate-supported in a way that is relevant to the reader, NomaReina will disclose that relationship clearly.
Compensation does not guarantee positive coverage. Editorial opinions and firsthand observations remain the writer's own.
Copyright and reuse
Unless otherwise stated, original NomaReina writing, photography, illustrations, page design, and other original site content are protected by copyright. Do not republish full articles, photographs, or substantial portions of the site without permission.
Short quotations with clear attribution and a link back to the original NomaReina page are generally welcome. For licensing, republication, or other permissions, contact hello@nomareina.com.
Age requirements
NomaReina's story-submission program is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to submit a story for publication consideration. NomaReina does not knowingly accept publication submissions from minors.
The general website is not designed to collect sensitive personal information from children. If NomaReina learns that a minor submitted a story through the publication form, the submission may be removed from consideration and deleted where reasonably practicable.
Security
NomaReina uses reasonable website, hosting, account, and service-provider safeguards, but no website, email system, form, or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Do not use NomaReina forms or comments to send information that would create serious harm if exposed.
Changes to these policies
NomaReina may update this page as the publication, technology, partnerships, or legal obligations change. The updated date at the top of the page will reflect material revisions.
Questions, corrections, privacy requests, and permissions inquiries can be sent to hello@nomareina.com.
